Macedonian Ecological Society reannounces the 6th Congress of Ecologists of the Republic of North Macedonia, with international participation
Following the international success of the 5th Congress in 2016, the planned 6th Congress is also foreseen to be an international meeting, with editorial board comprised of scientists from twelve countries from the Balkan region and Central Europe. During the years, this Congress grew in the largest gathering of its type in the Balkan region. It provides a platform for presentation of the scientific research, exchange of experience and knowledge among ecologists and practitioners from different disciplines and countries.
The presentation will be distributed into eight sections, covering broad topics reflecting the wide range of research done over the last several years.
Official language of the Congress will be English.

Registration is possible as a congress participant or a congress visitor.
Please register by filling in the Registration form, no later than September 15th 2022. Fees can be paid at later date.

Participants
Regular payment (before 30th September 2022)
– Regular fee: 100€
– Master and PhD students: 75€ (Please attach a confirmation document issued from your university)
– Undergraduate students: (Please attach a confirmation document issued from your university)
20€ – Symposium of biology students
75€ – Congress of ecologist
One registration covers: publishing of your abstract(s) in the Abstract book, Congress materials, coffee breaks, the official social event and publication of the paper in the Congress Proceedings.
One fee covers the expenses for maximum of two presentations, but registration is obligatory for every presentation.
Late payment (between 1st – 10th October 2022) will be charged additional 25€, for all categories.
All members of Macedonian Ecological Society get 10% discount.
Symposium of biology students is organized by Biology Student Research Society and payment should be made on the bank account given here.
Visitors

Visitor registration covers: Congress materials, coffee breaks and the official social event.
Payments of the fees will not be possible at the Congress desk. The payment is possible online via this link, or by bank transfer using the information at the end of this page.
Instructions for preparation of abstracts
Abstracts should be submitted electronically, using the form at the Registration tab. Following the preliminary review process, they will be compiled in a Congress Abstract book.
Limit you abstracts to 500 words. Organize the abstract in a way that it follows a structure of a full article: few introductory sentences, objective of the work, a short methodology, main results, short discussion and conclusions. Provide 3-5 key words, that are not contained in the paper title.
Citations, references, tables and figures should not be included.
Technical editing of the abstracts will be done by the Organizing Committee.
Publications
All of the accepted abstracts will be published in an Abstract book (October 2022).
The presented papers that will be approved for publication by the Scientific and Editorial Committee will be published in the Congress Proceedings (February 2023). Guidelines will be provided in the Second announcement (May 2022).
Authors are also welcome to submit their papers for publication in the “Macedonian Journal of Ecology and Environment” (www.mjee.org.mk), which offers double peer-review and is edited by an international board.

Participants should organize their own accommodation.

At this moment the room prices for the congress are as follow:
- Single room – 52€ (half board)
- Double room – 78€ (half board)
These prices are per room, per night with minimum two nights stay, for only one night, additional 5€ are charged. Payments for accommodation are made directly to the hotel.
