Macedonian Ecological Society announces the
7TH CONGRESS OF ECOLOGISTS OF NORTH MACEDONIA, WITH INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATION

The Macedonian Ecological Society is pleased to announce the 7th Congress of Ecologists of North Macedonia, with international participation. Building on the experience from the past six congresses, the upcoming Congress will once again serve as an international scientific meeting. The scientific committee includes distinguished scientists from nine countries across the Balkan region and Central Europe.
Over the years, the Congress has developed into the largest event of its kind in the Balkan region. It offers an important platform for presenting new scientific research, as well as for exchanging knowledge and experience among ecologists and practitioners from various disciplines and countries.
The program will be structured into seven sections, encompassing a broad range of topics that reflect the diversity of ecological research conducted in recent years.
The official language of the Congress will be English.

Registration
Please register by filling in the Registration form for each of the abstracts of the presentations online here, no later than 31st of July 2026.
Fees can be paid at later date.
Congress Fees
Regular payment (31st of August 2026)
– Regular fee: 110€
– Master and PhD students: 80€ (Please attach a confirmation document issued from your university)
– Undergraduate students: 30€ (Please attach a confirmation document issued from your university)
Overdue payment (after 1st September 2026) will be charged additional 30€, for a regular fee, or additional 20€ for Master and PhD students fee, and for Undergraduate students.
Visitors: 80€
MES members have 10% discount, but we will require attachment with proof of payment of membership fee or confirmation from MES.
One registration covers the expenses for maximum of two presentations.
Fees cover only the participation at the Congress and publication of the presentation(s) in the Abstract book and the cocktail at the opening ceremony and congress promotional materials.
Additional costs for the gala dinner and the likely excursion should be paid directly to the hotel and the tourist agency for which we will provide additional information.
Instructions for preparation of abstracts
Abstracts should be submitted electronically, using the form at the Registration tab. Following the preliminary review process, they will be compiled in a Congress Abstract book.
Limit your abstracts to five hundred words. Organize the abstract in a way that follows the structure of a full article: few introductory sentences, objective of the work, a short methodology, main results, brief discussion, and conclusions. Provide 3-5 key words that are not contained in the paper title.
Citations, references, tables, and figures should not be included.
Publications
All of the submitted abstracts will be reviewed and published in an Abstract book (October 2026).
Guidelines will be provided in the Second announcement (March, 2026).
After the Congress, authors are welcomed to submit their papers for publication in the “Macedonian Journal of Ecology and Environment” (www.mjee.org.mk), which offers double peer-review and is edited by an international board.
